It is clear that monthly SL card is one of the biggest expenditure for most of us. A summer card would be even more expensive. Hence it is wise to make SL card loss-proof. This is very simple to do, one just have to register the card on SL's website. After loss report, in about 5 working days, SL will send a new card by post. The validity date will be same as lost card. Remember that loss report card as soon as possible so there is less risk that an unauthorized person has time to travel on the card.
Loss warranty applies only if the card is registered on My SL on sl.se when it is lost. You can not register it afterwards to get the warranty.
